The Lab exists to understand how real systems behave under the constraints engineers actually face: network distance, storage limits, failure, regulation, security boundaries, operational capacity and cost.

We design experiments, build representative workloads, record the environment, measure distributions rather than convenient averages, and publish limitations alongside findings.

Initial work focuses on Nigerian cloud infrastructure, data localisation and cloud repatriation. The remit is deliberately broader: distributed systems, databases, failure engineering, networking, cybersecurity and performance engineering.
